Immigration

Enrollment in the IEP meets immigration requirements for full-time study. An I-20 form (certificate of eligibility) will be provided for every student who needs to apply for a student visa. This form must be presented to the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate in the applicant's country to obtain a visa for entry into the U.S.

Arrival

Most students arrive at the airport in St. Louis, Missouri (Lambert Field) or Kansas City, Missouri (Kansas City International Airport). These airports have shuttle vans that travel to Columbia. They are very convenient and reasonably priced. The vans will take the passengers to the campus, hotels, or any other place in Columbia.

Students may also arrive at the Columbia Regional Airport (about 15 kilometers from campus). One of our staff or a person from the student's home country can meet the student on arrival in Columbia if the student notifies the IEP of their travel plans. Students will receive help in finding a hotel or permanent housing.
