Dates and Costs

The IEP offers three sessions of English language training per year: Fall (August to December), Spring (January to May), Summer (June and July). The beginning and end dates of the sessions vary a little each year. The dates for the year 2008 are as follows:

  • Summer 2008 (June 9 to August 1)
  • Fall 2008 (August 21 to December 19)
  • Spring 2009 (January 15 to May 15)

Mid-Semester Admission

The IEP may be able to accept a student for admission for the second half of the fall or winter semesters. The fall and winter semesters are divided into two eight-week sessions. Students who begin the IEP in August or January must enroll in the full sixteen weeks of the semester. Midterm exams are administered after the first eight weeks of classes, and the second half of the semester begins immediately after the midterm exams. Students may enter the program at mid-semester if there is space available in the program. Because the session lasts eight weeks instead of sixteen weeks, the instructional fee is less than it is for the sixteen-week session. For more information about the dates and fees for a mid-semester admission see the Mid-Semester Admission page.

Financial Information

How much will it cost to study in the IEP? Most students in the IEP are citizens of other countries. Therefore, they are not considered to be residents of Missouri. The instructional fees for non-resident students are given below. A few IEP students are classified as Missouri residents, so their fees are lower. Please note that all of the fees shown in this website are for non-residents of Missouri unless the text specifically says the fees are for Missouri residents.

If you think you may be a Missouri resident, please visit the Instructional and Total Fee for Missouri Residents page on this site.

Payment of Fees

All university fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. You may pay with a check, money order, travelers check, or credit card (VISA, MASTERCARD, or DISCOVER). Note that all fees are subject to change without notice. Students who are sponsored by a government, university or private corporation must provide evidence of the scholarship authorization.

The $50.00 fee is not transferable to another person but is transferable to another semester if the person cannot come for the session to which he/she was originally admitted. Prepayments will be refunded only if the person is not accepted into the program.

The IEP on-line application has a section in which you can pay the $50.00 prepayment by credit card. Secure On-line IEP application form.
