Students may apply for admission to an undergraduate program at MU even though their TOEFL score is below 61. To apply for a conditional acceptance, the student should complete the University of Missouri International Student Application for Admission and write the words "REQUEST CONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE" at the top of the application form. If the student satisfies MU's admission requirements except for the English language requirement, the International Admissions Office can give the student a letter of conditional acceptance. This letter will state that the student may satisfy the English requirement by obtaining the required TOEFL score or by obtaining a recommendation from the Intensive English Program at the University of Missouri.
Students who are applying for admission to a graduate department should contact the department directly to ask if the department admits students conditionally.
